Welcome to the Party: A Fiesta in El Niño

“Step right up and try your hand at the Bean Bag Toss. A fantastic prize for the kiddo with the arrow accurate arm!”

“Come test your teeth on the donut on a string and win an even sweeter prize!”

If you’ve ever wanted to be a carnival barker, here is your opportunity.

The Fiesta in Mexico on November 19 will be rip-roaring fun. This carnival style event is put on by Do For One sponsors for our sponsored students and families, so it’s a perfect time to connect with your student and their family. We’ll have games galore, face painting, costume photo shoots, crafts, and the highlight of any Fiesta, tacos!

Do I need to know Spanish?

You mean, to have fun with kids? Absolutely not. A carnival with kids wearing funny wigs and dodging for donuts translates itself. Of course, if you know Spanish, it is an added bonus!

What will I do?

With almost 20 different booths, we have more than enough for everyone to lend a hand. If you have a knack for photography, a tongue and ear for Spanish, like to serve food, event setup, or want to get involved in team leadership, there is plenty to do.

What do I need to participate?

A US passport, sunscreen, water, sunshine in your heart and a big smile!

Interested in joining the party?

In 2022, we had the Fiesta on November 19. Every year after that it’s been in August. Subscribe to the newsletter for all the upcoming dates or email info@doforonefoundation.org. We meet at the upper deck of the parking structure at Mariners Church Irvine (5001 Newport Coast Drive, located in the southwest corner of the campus closest to Turtle Ridge Drive) at 6:30 am and return by 8 pm that evening.
